KNOWN ISSUE: When pressing CTRL + W the browser closes your current tab. I didn't know this was a thing.
The fix: go to options and change the game to fullscreen, or press W before you press CTRL.

THE BAIT

GameName Game Jam Submission:

This game is about a fisherman who's bait has turned into a mutated invincible big fish. You had to stop near this small island because the boat ran out of fuel, luckily for you you can buy some fuel on this island! Collect crabs to pay for this fuel and escape the big fish and this island!

Good to know:

- Playing in the browser can cause some lag, I would recommend turning on respawn in options in case of lag spike deaths.

- If you press the fullscreen button in options, then you can see the whole screen and also the UI at the bottom.

- This game is not fully polished. I didn't have time for this. I would change a few things if I had more time.

- When you press play, I would recommend running away first, then pressing escape to change settings if necessary.

- Don't fall in the water.

[E]: Pick up and Interact with objects

[LMB]: Throw a crab as a distraction

[RMB]: Keep pressing to pull up the crab cage

[WASD] or Arrow Keys: Move

[SHIFT]: Sprint

[CTRL]: crouch / walk slower, usefull near edges to not fall in the water.

[ESC]: options/settings

Gameplay:

Run away from the big fish!

There is a plank that isn't always accesible, only walk on it when there is no water on it!

Follow the arrows towards the island. Someone left a crab cage key in the machine.

Unlock a crab cage and gather crabs, you can spend them at the island machine.

And don't die!
